Welcome to my website !

I am a second year PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Lausanne (HEC) under the supervision of Professor Kenza Benhima (UNIL) and Professor Sylvia Kaufmann (Study Center Gerzensee). I am also scientific collaborator at the Swiss Institute of Applied Economics (CREA) where I develop macroeconomic forecasting models for the Swiss economy. I have succesfully completed the Swiss Program for Beginning Doctoral Students in Economics at Study Center Gerzensee (Foundation of the Swiss National Bank).

I hold a dual master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Lausanne (HEC).

My research lies at the intersection of international macroeconomics & finance, energy and geoeconomics. I study how financial market shocks and geopolitical events propagate through the global economy, drawing on a range of identification strategies—including high-frequency event-study methods and narrative-based approaches—together with structural time-series techniques to isolate and quantify exogenous shocks and trace their macroeconomic effects. I am also interested in advancing the econometric time-series toolkit itself, refining identification and estimation methods to better capture the dynamics of shock transmission and better forecasting.

My experience includes research positions as a trainee at the European Central Bank, at the National Bank of Romania. I was also economic consultant intern at Panthéon Recherche.

Outside academia, I am the author of the economics textbook “L’Economie en 60 graphiques” (2nd Edition), widely available in French bookstores and consistently ranked among the top 10 economics student books in France.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to discuss potential projects.
